Meet our team
Aimee is a recognized leader in the field of experiential, embodied, action, and expressive psychotherapy. Licensed in Utah and New Mexico, Aimee utilizes both trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches to treatment.
She’s passionate about helping people recognize the roles they play in their lives, and helping them actively create the roles they want (while discarding the ones they don’t).
Along with a deep understanding of psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy, her unique approach incorporates role theory, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, parts work, sandtray, Brainspotting, lifestyle medicine, mindfulness, and somatic therapy. Fueled by the belief that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors make perfect sense within the context of one's story and roles, Aimee empowers participants as she co-creates real healing and lasting change with them.
Colette serves on the leadership collective of the LGBTQ-Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Sex Therapist she’s passionate about helping heal individuals dealing with a faith crisis or transition, and those that are struggling to deal with their sexuality in a heteronormative world. Colette understands that depression and anxiety can seem overwhelming and impossible to deal with, and we’re proud to bring her professional training and experience (as well as empathy from her own personal experience with these issues) to Hearten House.
Colette incorporates experiential modalities (psychodrama, sociometry, brainspotting, and expressive arts) into her therapeutic practice, and is one of few therapists who offer intensives instead of limiting sessions to the average “53 minutes”.
Colette Specializes in:
Eclectic Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Brainspotting, Experiential Methods, Sex Therapy, LGBTQIA+, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Therapy.
