About the show
Every bird has a migration story. Some leave and come back. Some stay through the cold. Some travel farther than seems possible for something so small.
For The Birds Still Sing, more than 25 local artists were each given a bird native to Utah. Over the past two months, they spent time with that bird. They learned its habits and its seasons, and then followed wherever it led them. Some pieces look like birds. Many don't. They're about rest, courage, home, starting over, and finding your way back to yourself.
This show is as much about the process as the finished work. The making, the reflecting, and the sharing are all part of it. The pieces are spread across the rooms of our historic red-brick building. Wander at your own pace.

This is the first in a series of community art shows at Hearten House. We believe healing happens in community, and this is our way of opening the doors and making that visible.
