For Behavioral Health Professionals

YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW THIS work WORKS

You chose this field because something in you recognized the work. You have spent years building the skills, the presence, the capacity to hold what other people bring into the room. You know what it takes. And you probably know, better than most, what it costs.

Hearten House is a mental health treatment center in downtown Salt Lake City. We specialize in experiential, embodied, trauma-informed care, with psychodrama at the center of our clinical model. But we are also something else: a community for the people who do this work.

We believe that the field is better when practitioners have access to deep training, genuine peer connection, and space to do their own work. These are not luxuries. They are how we stay in this for the long haul.

Whatever brought you here, there is something for you on this page.

We are Reimagining Mental Health Care℠

Whether you are new to experiential methods or deepening an existing practice, our training, supervision, and consultation offerings are designed by and for people who take the work seriously.

  • I want time to do my own work.

You Are The Lantern is a 5-day professional immersive experience in Santa Fe, New Mexico, designed specifically for behavioral health professionals.

Not a conference. Not a retreat in the spa-weekend sense. Deep experiential work, facilitated by people who know this field from the inside, with space to put yourself, not your clients, at the center of your attention.

  • I want to refer someone to Hearten House

Hearten House offers individual therapy, group psychotherapy, therapy intensives, and one of the only fully experiential mental health and trauma-focused IOP programs in the region.

If you have a client who needs more than weekly therapy allows, or who is looking for an approach that goes beyond talk, we would be glad to connect and collaborate with you on their care.

Who We Are

Hearten House is not just a place to send clients. It is a place to grow alongside them.

Hearten House was founded by Aimee Hadfield, LCSW, CP, PAT, one of only three board-certified psychodramatists in the state of Utah and offers ABE approved psychodrama training hours as a PAT. Psychodrama, sociometry, and group psychotherapy are not add-ons here. They are the primary clinical model, with their theory and techniques woven through every level of care.

We are an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider. Our training offerings are designed to meet practitioners where they are and take them somewhere they have not yet been.

We are also a practice that believes the field is strengthened when practitioners learn from each other, refer across networks, and invest in their own growth as seriously as they invest in their clients'. We are glad you are here.
