Diksha Gunter

SOMATIC THERAPIST | TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPIST | STUDENT THERAPIST

Meet Diksha Gunter, MSWi

Diksha Gunter is a therapist-in-training at Hearten House who takes a trauma-informed, experiential approach to mental health care. Her clinical work is informed by both her background in social and economic justice and her own lived experience as a trauma survivor, which led her to explore the mind–body connection and nontraditional paths to healing.

Diksha integrates experiential therapy, parts work, somatic approaches and CBT, with attention to holistic living through a focus on nutrition, sleep and movement. She approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and deep listening, creating a space where participants feel seen, respected, and supported as they explore patterns that shape their lives.

She values creative expression as a tool for healing and believes therapy can extend beyond words through movement, art, and embodied experiences. Diksha is especially passionate about increasing access to mental health care for underserved and marginalized communities.

Outside of the therapy space, she enjoys mountain biking, long gravel rides, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors with her dog. She brings the same steadiness and perseverance from these activities into her work with participants.
