Trish Layton, CMHCi
Meet Trish Layton, CMHCi
Trish is a student therapist at Hearten House. Trish works with adults who are navigating trauma, identity shifts, faith transitions, relationship dynamics, or simply the desire to feel more grounded and connected.
A natural space-holder, Trish brings a rich, unconventional background to her work as a therapist — including experience as a health educator, digital wellness advocate, and wilderness first responder. She’s known for being direct, curious, and deeply attuned to nervous system regulation, creative expression, and somatic wisdom.
Trish blends traditional and experiential therapy modalities, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Existential and relational approaches
Somatic practices
Experiential and creative therapy
Mindfulness and breathwork
She is currently completing her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and holds certifications in the Strengthening Families Program, transcendental meditation, and nutritional psychology.
Trish sees therapy as a collaborative, brave space where insight and humor can coexist — where growth is rooted in safety, sovereignty, and storytelling. Her goal is to help clients feel more at home in their bodies, more compassionate toward their inner world, and more empowered in how they move through life.
